Delta SkyClub Guest Passes
 

What happens to Delta SkyClub guest passes if they have recently posted to your account but you end up canceling the AMEX Delta Reserve? It’s a bit of an odd situation given the SkyClub agent can see the guest passes, if not revoked, but can also see that the primary account holder doesn’t have SkyClub access themselves.

They go unused and expire. Sadly you can't even use them to bring guests in if you hold an Amex Platinum.

This has been my exact experience as well. I have tried at PHX, LAX and DTW. Some SkyClub agents were nicer about it than others but the outcome was the same. And this was before the current overcrowding issues. So even less likely to get a sympathetic agent now.

It is highly illogical imo, since the companion passes can still be used. And furthermore they extended everything else due to covid.

I had 4 guest passes in my DL wallet from 2 Reserves (one personal one corporate). I canceled both of the cards and got to keep the 2 guest passes and 2 companion certs. Once they are in your wallet they are yours to keep. Amex/DL doesn’t claw them back. I just showed my physical purple Reserve card and played dumb and said there must be a mistake and she let us all in. As I was leaving I asked a different agent and he said I could still use a guest pass for me if I canceled my Reserve. Or he said if you get any pushback just walk in with anyone who has access and use a guest pass for me. Same result. This was at DTW. YMMV.

I never thought to keep the card and play dumb.
