Delta Airbus 321N Experiences/Reports Thread

While we weren't on the inaugural flight, we're looking forward to checking out the new plane. Flying during the dreaded upcoming 4th weekend so crossing our fingers. However, it only looks to have been late/delayed once or twice since that first flight.

Wow! Cool! I'm so jealous!! I'm so glad you have a great flight. Your first ride on an A321neo. It's so beautiful aircraft!

Does the 321 first class bulkhead have footspace on either side.

EDIT: I see it was posted about above now, sorry I don't see a way to delete message.

How comfortable are the new F seats? They look awful, and getting to window seat looks near impossible.

Curious what verdict is.
findark likes this.

I found the seat itself pretty comfortable, but yes, getting out from the window seat involved some good core work to not pull back on the seat in front of us. I have not looked at the actual specs on the legroom, but it did feel tighter than older domestic F.

My wife and I were on the 321N a week ago SAN-BOS in FC. The seat itself is comfy enough, but they actually try to impede the person in the window seat. There is that little 4 inch shelf extension from the seats in front of you that serves no real purpose.

It doesn't retract? I remember some previous FC seats that had a pull out shelf just below the center armrest that was designed to be the perfect size for a drink or two.

Flying this bird in F in a few weeks, BOS to SFO. Window seat is the way to go it seems?

Had some interesting experiences on the Neo recently. Paid F and flew SFO - BOS on Friday and was excited to try the seat and Bluetooth for the entertainment. PDB and was surprised to see amenity kits at each seat. Unfortunately my seat back screen was non-responsive and after many resets, the FA chalked it up as a malfunction. Received, but did not ask for 15,000 miles as compensation.

Tonight on my return leg BOS-SFO we did not receive amenity kits but instead the DL One headsets, which are two-prong and the Neo is not equipped for. Interestingly, it looks like my seat mate is having the same issue with the seat back screen as I did on the outbound. Teething issues for sure

Window seats are very hard to get out of, especially because of the center console

I generally prefer bulkhead (except on the 757 due to extremely limited leg room). Any feedback on this plane whether the bulkhead is to be avoided? I'm ok with standard A321 pitch...

https://www.aerolopa.com/dl-32q It looks tight to me; possibly 1B on the aisle may have a bit more room for the right leg in flight.

Compare to the 321ceo: https://www.aerolopa.com/dl-32b NEO might be an inch tighter.

While a new broom always sweeps clean, I was not impressed by the FC seats. Nothing too bad, just nothing special. And that useless center tab between the window and aisle seat was a real swing and a miss.

1CD is pretty bad, 1AB are ok there's a small foot cutout on the AB side that gives you like an extra inch of toe room
