What are Delta’s heaviest traveled elite routes?

You know the ones where 80% of the flight is an elite during boarding.

suspects but not sure:
- ATL - LAX
- ATL - LGA
- JFK - LAX
- ATL - MSP
- MSP - DTW
- ATL - DTW

ATL LGA is typically not 80% elites. I don't think I've seen more than 80 people on the upgrade list for ATLLGA and it's usually a 321 with 200 seats. Whether 80% is the true threshold for elite heavy routes is another questoin

Pre-COVID, ATL-LAX and ATL-SFO on a Monday morning had probably 80%+ of the plane having some sort of status. Routinely 140+ upgrade requests on a 757.

I’m curious about the reasoning for MSP-DTW. Yes it’s hub to hub but there aren’t many routes that require a connection between the two since they are both legacy from NWA.

Pre-Covid I had seen CVG-ATL in the 70's. Lots of orphaned elites who are still feeling stockholm syndrome. Now-a-days I just buy first so i don't pay attention.

EDIT: Ooops, sorry. Probably meant that to be in Zorak 's linked post.

MSP doesn't get the love like it did pmNW.

There lots of business/elite heavy to/from TX. It's not just Austin.

ive been 10 of 50+ on ATL-SAT and 10 of 70 on AUS in past.

I did SLC-ATL about 6 months ago, and I was something like 35 on the upgrade list on a widebody. Diamond w/ Delta Reserve

I doubt elites make up 80%, but I've heard that Tampa has the highest # of Diamonds outside of a Delta hub.

+1 on ATL - SFO. I’ve seen crazy long lists.

Peak time RDU - ATL and ATL - RDU can be quite lengthy (on a 757 or A321) but due to frequency it probably doesn’t quite match some of the others

I would regularly see 70+ on the upgrade list for ATL-MCI.

I don't recall where I saw it, but I remember seeing/hearing that ATL-SNA(and reverse) was one of the heaviest elite routes and toughest upgrades to snag in the system.

I remember reading once pre-Covid that JAX had the highest 'per capita' amount of DMs, so I would assume JAX-ATL is going to be on that list.

This was my first guess.

I used to fly regularly between RDU, ATL, SNA, and LAX. The Friday morning SNA-ATL flights would have insanely long upgrade lists. It was normal to see 130+ folks on the list.
