I swear. Some of y'all are so damn negative all the time. Are you like this in everything in life?
and your wrong btw. Plans are already in place for all the LATAM birds to be brought up to Delta standards, almost exactly the same as the legacy Delta A350s.
Add in supplier issues for getting seats and MRO availability.
I know a lot of people think Ed Bastian can just snap his fingers and like magically airplanes are modded in seconds, terminals are rebuilt in no time, and any kind of change is instantly done......but in the real world that isn't how its done.
IIRC LATAM A350s next year will come with D1S seats installed and the 4-5 that wont have then will rate back into mod cycles in 2024. Fun fact the Lion Air 739s are coming without the Delta product. Its not some grand conspiracy. Its not that Delta hates Pianoman. Its that MRO availability is hard to find and the airline supply chain is incredibly incredibly strained. Those birds will be done hopefully by 2025.

I just remember when Delta said these would be on select lesser routes... a BRAND-NEW (well, at least new within the last few years) route with a subpar product doesn't seem like good sense. I also remember when Delta promised all-aisle access on wide-bodies. *shrugs*
Delta is using them on routes that tend of have lower yielding J cabins out of Atlanta. TLV hits that mark.
Also show me where Delta "promised" all-aisle access? indefinitely?
Its pretty simple. Delta either takes these A350s with a temporary product or routes like ATL-TLV, ATL-CPT, LAX-PPT just don't happen. I prefer growth as a customer.
Also, and a lot of people don't know about it, but this little thing called COVID happened. Because of that and Ed Bastian's lack of future telling ability while also trying to run an airline in a global event never seen before, is having to make some short term changes to the airline for a better long term. Expecting Delta to just sit on these A350s for 2-3 years is asinine.
I'm guessing you have never set foot on one of these birds....?
