this is great! JFK-PHX flights have been under served on Delta for awhile now. Consistently $500+ fares even on non peak days/periods.

Good to see it but I'm fairly surprised Phoenix came before Portland. Just due to Delta having more market strength on the Portland end.

Portland has lost more flights and seats since 2019 than any other major US city. Why go to a shrinking market when you can go to a fast growing one?

Just like the new SAN-BOS route, the only eastbound choice PHX-BOS is a red-eye.

Lets not use COVID stats please.

you can't call a market growing or shrinking due to COVID. PHX has recovered faster because its much more leisure thus recovery. Also politics play a part in that as well.

Orlando has probably seen a much larger rebound in flights(at least pre-sunset of domestic slot waiver than NYC......that doesn't mean Orlando has hit huge grown and NYC is falling off of a cliff.

I think this more as of a pre strike against Jet Blue / American Airlines Code Share. But Delta service is great.

This is a strategic move against AA and their partnership with B6 as PHX-BOS is basically a hub to hub flight on AA now. And, I'm sure there is the pax volume to support the route.
