All served PDBs. Flight Attendants on all four were excellent.
Great to see a sub-200 mile DP on GSP-ATL. Unless they took the 900 mile scenic route up to GSP!

The 900 mile PDB rule was never an official rule and was a typo/mistake according to DL.

Yes, but apparently some flight crews has been sticking with that when questioned.

Why should the length of the flight matter for a PDB? If anything a shorter flight should get one over a longer flight since there is less time in the air to do service.

The FA's are getting paid during boarding regardless of the length of the flight so there is no excuse not to do a PDB on a short flight

No PDB on current flight BOS - RSW; to be fair, it would've been essentially impossible to work around the boarding coach passengers. FA too drink and food orders after econ had pretty much boarded, before takeoff.

1 for 3 so far, all 1500+ mile flights:

6/21ATL-SFO, 753 - Yes, likely aided by traffic-free FC cabin (really going to miss those)

6/24 SFO-ATL, 739 - No, with no explanations. Flight boarded and departed on time.

6/26 ATL-ONT, 321 - No. Flight boarded and departed on time. FA said after safety video that she was sorry she couldn't serve drinks on the ground, but that they were "on her" once airborne. This was also the first flight I've been on since hot meals returned that didn't honor FEBO. She took orders from front to back on an odd-numbered flight about 15 minutes prior to pushback.

SEA-JFK this morning (DL 348) and no PDB in D1. Quite odd as we boarded 45 minutes before departure from door 2 on a 757 so no foot traffic to prevent doing it. Door just being closed now.

Regular domestic F I'd let it go, but D1 I'd ask during the flight so they'd know you noticed.

No idea where FAs are getting this 900 mile thing. The only communication I saw was PDBs were coming back on ALL flights. Its usually some lazy FAs making up stuff and passing it on via jumpseat gossip. Also, PDBs should only be served in plastic.

The DL website says (still?) that only bottled water is offered as a PDB on long-haul international flights. The page has no mention of any sort of PDB on other flights.
Onboard service across all long-haul international flights includes only the following:

Delta One:
  • Pre-departure beverage offering will be individual bottled water.

I never accept the offer of a PDB b/c it just results in FA's blocking onboarding passengers and adds to cabin chaos.
