Vietnam Airline booking with Delta/skyteam miles and upgrade to buiness
I was looking for Business class seats between SGN-ICN direct flight and it looks that Vietnam airline releases two business seats a day to skyteam members.
They day I want I booked two economy and two business class seats with skymiles.
Does Vietnam Airlines release more business seats closer to the departure date?
Is cash buyup to business class an option when booking with skymiles or any skyteam miles?

No option with Skymiles to upgrade. I'm not sure on DoD cash upgrades.

Years ago I purchased an upgrade for a domestic VN flight via Optiontown, they sent an email with the offer the day before the flight. According to https://www.vietnamairlines.com/vn/e...vna-optiontown though they discontinued the partnership a month ago. Isn’t clear whether they have a replacement method in place.

Thanks. It looks that cash price is cheap enough to buy J directly. It is funny that Google flight doesn't show Vietnam flights on SGN-ICN whereas third party OTAs show. Otherwise it is not end of the world to economy for 4 hours.
