Crazy amount of flight number changes
Was this just a quirky weekend for me. Usually with the weekend updates of flight times there may be one or two changes. This time every one of my flights had a number change. 14 flights from May though November. Most were just number changes and a few minutes different in times. One two hour difference and one it looks like they removed the non stop Minneapolis to Knoxville flight which was supposed to resume this summer. Only flight that stayed the same was JFK to Edinburgh. Exhausting going through my flight tracker app to make all the changes :)

MSP - JFK downgraded yet again in July (three years running) to delta connection. They always try for an A319/A220 then give into CR9s for this route. It's extremely frustrating... I'll just reroute through ATL on mainline - they're running the oddball 752 with lie flat and I get a fee-free change for the mainline to connection devalue!

If there's a change from mainline to DL Connection (or from one DL Connection carrier to another, although most DL agents don't know this), you're entitled to a free change or full refund: DOT rules.

I had two JFK/LAX legs in July go from 764 to 763….
|
I have a roundtrip in May. 3 out of 4 of my legs reset my seat assignments to "Unassigned" and the plane type changed to Boeing MD88, even though previously it was a321, a757, etc.
I'm trying to reserve my seats but I'm getting an error, and the seat map is NOT shown. What's going on? |

My five segment award ticket round-trip to Hawaii for Thanksgiving is still untouched unfortunately, I'm waiting on a schedule change to get better days and flights, come on Delta!

I have been patiently waiting for the AMS - PDX flight to be canceled so I can get AMS - LAX direct instead of AMS - PDX - LAX. Looks like the scheduling gods are finally cooperating, as of now all open seats on the seat map are x-ed out.

When is your flight? Flights still look bookable and seats selectable start May 6th (flight is initially less than daily). Perhaps an equipment swap? It's currently showing as a 4-class model 32M.

If Delta changes flight numbers only (the timing remains the same), do I qualify for a free re-routing? Specifically, I would like to depart an hour earlier and arrive home an hour earlier.

My guess would be possible equipment swap to 32M. What equipment does your seat map currently show?
