Delta to Seoul (ICN)

Please redirect to another thread if I missed it...

Looking to fly back to Asia (mostly Vietnam right now). I can only see one flight to ICN on Delta metal (SEA-ICN). Is that it for now? Lots of KE options but sometimes I prefer the Delta hard product. Thanks!

They are flying to ICN out of ATL, SEA, and DTW but I thinkonly ATL is daily so you may be looking at dates where only SEA is flying or there isn't a viable connection to get you to ATL in time so only SEA is showing up

DTW-ICN currently operates 4x weekly and SEA-ICN is 6x weekly (3x DL, 3x KE). DTW-ICN is currently scheduled to go daily starting July 10th. KE has daily service to SGN, but only 3x weekly to HAN currently.

I did find some information about flights to Asia.

Delta Air Lines loaded a schedule update this weekend seen on Cirium. There are several major cuts impacting the carrier's operations to Tokyo and Seoul. Namely:
  • Honolulu (HNL) to Tokyo (HND) pulled until the end of October
  • Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo (HND) pulled until the end of October
  • Minneapolis (MSP) to Seoul (ICN) pulled until the end of October
  • Minneapolis (MSP) to Tokyo (HND) pulled until the end of October
  • Portland (PDX) to Seoul (ICN) pulled until mid-September
  • Portland (PDX) to Tokyo (HND) pulled until the end of October
I checked some dates and frequencies will not necessarily be daily.

Goes back to what previous poster mentioned about the fact that only ATL/DTW/SEA - ICN are currently operating if you are looking for DL metal with onward connection options (HND is limited for options). None of these currently have daily DL metal flights as ATL and SEA have a mix of DL and KE metal, while DTW-ICN is 4x weekly all DL metal ( currently Mo/Tu/Th/Sa). If you are having problems finding DL metal over the Pacific, try some different days as there are definitely DL metal options right now -- just probably not daily.
