But LV has (pre-pandemic) morphed into more of a hybrid destination, with plenty of business travel, although being convention-oriented it can usually be planned in advance.

Companion and I just got upgraded to first class. No medallion status (yet), just have the reserve card. With that said, this is a E175. Main cabin is sold out but there were 11 available first class seats out of 12. So we were 3/4 and 4/4 and just got lucky.

we got seats 1C and 1D which I hear people like but it looks like we can snag 3C and 3D which would get us under seat storage but We both think we dont need it just grab our cell phone and charger and well be good.

its only 1h 25m but Im still excited .oh and I paid $212 RT for the both of us total (v fare).

we have an august flight SFO-JFK on a 767-300 and I dont anticipate an upgrade then. Would be nice though on D1

Called this morning and was able to be moved back fortunately, my original seats were taken but we're both in aisle seats so we're happy. To DL's credit, I did the call back option instead of holding and they called back in about 15 minutes and the agent was super helpful and didn't act like it was any problem. I once tried to move back to main from a C+ upgrade via text and was told no, so I wasn't sure this was possible - that time was <24 hours from departure though so maybe that was part of it (or the text agents just being incompetent again).

Surprisingly (to me at least) FCM still offers paid upgrades to F, but I can self-select C+ right now if I wanted to for no fee. I always just assumed that upgrades to both would begin at the same time and FCM would end.

Congrats on the upgrade! I’d stick with row 1–the legroom is outstanding (to me it feels even more than in the CRJ7/9s).

And DEFINITELY don’t expect as good of luck SFO-JFK

Yeah, unless you need access to something under the seat, row 1 on RJs with FC is extremely nice (but *not* on the CRJ-200, where it would be considered to be C+ but without legroom).

thanks guys! Flight was great. Seats (row 1) were great. It was definitely a neat experience with 0 people in front of you and all that legroom. You really dont think of the other passengers.

Checked in at OLCI and I’m not on any upgrade list. Earned Gold medallion. Texted Delta because they don’t do anything over Twitter anymore who was not able to help and now my ticket is out of sync. 52 minute wait for another agent.

No medallion status yet. Companion and I got complimentary upgrade to comfort because of my reserve card. 3 seats left on first class. I opted out of Fc upgrade because we were already 4/5 and 5/5 and the seats werent even together so got two seats together in comfort plus.

Anyone have experience on how PS seats work for upgrade inventory specifically on routes where it is not sold? I have an upcoming ATL-GRU flight and C+ is booked out while PS is completely blocked out. Any hope of an upgrade at the gate? T-120? Thanks.

If the PS cabin is marketed (sold) as C+, then the C+ seats become "preferred" (essentially reserved for elites). If you get a C+ upgrade, you sit in a PS seat with C+ service.

That's the strange thing about this flight, PS is not being sold and the seats are not able to be selected. They are still selling C+, but a dummy booking gives you a message to the effect of "No C+ seats are available right now but we will assign you one before departure". The PS seats can not be selected. This message is the same whether or not I'm logged in; I'm PM if that makes any difference.

Most international D1 routes with PS cabins seem to have PS fare filings these days. ATL-GRU is a bit odd as there are PS fare filings on route, but the routing rules for them do not apply to the non-stop ATL-GRU flight and may be what is confusing system. It could be the uncertainty about whether or not flight will actually have a modded A330 with PS cabin is making DL hesitant about selling PS seats on flight.

I'll never understand how sometimes you can poke around when you're within the window and "self-upgrade". If I didn't do that, would I have lost it if someone else purchased or did the same thing?

Is the clearance window for a connecting itinerary supposed to be T-120 for your first segment, or T-120 on a segment-by-segment basis? I would assume the latter, but I was able to manually clear downline segments into open OU (using change seats) after the first segment cleared automatically at the window.
