My kids never liked the 'kids meals' either... what we've done is we order a selection between the four of us (me, dad, 2 kids) and then let them have first choice once they come out.

My kids might also be one of like.. 3 people who like the impossible burrito.

DL1039 ATL-LAS, 7/28/2022, FEBO not observed, pre-ordered the Fox Bros BBQ Short Rib.

This meal was fantastic. Everything was very tasty and the short rib especially was juicy and very tender. Spectacular job on this one. Good FA too proactively offering refills throughout the meal.

I just had the same entree and salad out of FLL, and while not called Fox Bros, it was awesome! And that salad with the dressing was splendid. Very impressive!

Here’s a couple of meals from a recent trip:

ATL-MSP
A321
Impossible Burger

I have had the Impossible Burger on a previous trip with a different preparation and quite liked it. This one, not so much. Very dry and not much flavor. The chickpea salad, as others have mentioned, was quite odd. Other choices were a chicken salad with eggs and olives, as well as a shrimp salad with poblano peppers. Next time, I’ll opt for for one of the salads.

MSP-ANC
737-900
Braised Beef Short Rib

This meal was great! I have had short ribs before on DL, and they continue to be great. The polenta was awesome too, as well as the mango mousse cheesecake. 10/10 on this meal. Other options were a shrimp poke bowl or impossible burrito.

Just booked a DTW-LAX flight next week. An 8 pm departure and it is showing dinner as the meal. Should I expect a hot meal and is there a pre-ordering option? I don't see the option when I look at my booking on line.

Thanks!

That salad is amazing. The dressing is some type of watermelon citrus dressing...really tasty. Delta impressed me with this meal. The only downer to me was the dessert...not a fan of the mango coconut mousse thing.

Yes, that route should have a hot meal. There will be a pre order option eventually and if I’m not mistaken that usually comes up 1 week prior to departure. Have a nice flight!

What is the timing of the meal on an international ATL-ICN flight that leaves around midnight? Is "dinner" served around 2AM?

Thanks. I'm looking forward to the flight. I'm well within a week of my travel date and see no indication under my reservation on Delta.com that there is a pre-order option. I can order a special meal, but that's it. No e-mail from Delta either. Am I just not looking in the right place?

Try to find out details of the choices first (in this thread, for example), then call DL and ask to make your choice. I suggest researching the options in advance since you're unlikely to get details beyond chicken/beef/fish/pasta when you call unless you insist and have a particularly good agent.

Thanks! So, interestingly, I realized I hadn't looked up my reservation through the app (only was looking through the website). Sure enough, the choice option appeared when I opened my reservation. There is a photo of the meal I chose on this thread, so we are all good.

Appreciate it!

I may have missed it, has DL re-enabled pre-order for domestic flights?
