BOS-RSW on 30 June. Choice of salmon poke bowl, vegetarian pasta, or Reuben. Since mine was the only upgrade to clear (into 1D), I was the last person to be asked and only the Reuben was left. I was able to deconstruct it and eat only what was appealing. That's a small cup of almonds on the tray along with chocolate mousse cake and a salad. The quality of the salad and the dessert was far better than the Reuben.

That Reuben looks like not a Reuben but a tasty sandwich. Is it not good or do you just not like Reubens since you mentioned only eating what is appealing.

They are really out of control with the harissa impossible burger.

Has anyone had a transcon D1 where the meal is once again coursed, or are all the flights still suffering from PIAAO* syndrome?

My D1 from SLC>AMS and FCO>BOS was coursed about four weeks ago. Photos for the SLC>AMS meal:

"Chicken or Beef, you figure it out" is such a crap way to describe things and not premium at all.

damn I hope people on the plane that don't pre-select like "summer vegetables".
reporting back. The salmon was excellent! Moist and cooked to the right point while retaining a nicely roasted surface. The salsa was very flavourful. I was very impressed as Delta catering goes.

But is it normal for the FAs to know absolutely nothing about the wine they are serving? Ours didn’t know the country of each bottle, let alone anything about the producer or grape. Makes the whole experience feel decidedly less premium.

There was also no printed menu or QR code provided. So everything was based on what the FAs described to us.

Choice of the Impossible Burger, green chile chicken salad or Italian Burrata

For a mid afternoon departure this was actually perfect. The cheese and chicken were tasty and the cake was also really good.

Nice of them to do a cocktail service but Sun Chips and a canned cocktail are well...see Jonah Hill's face for the right reaction.

Choice of the impossible burrito, beef short rib or the shrimp poke bowl. This was good though three shrimp is a little skimpy. Also why a bowl of watermelons? The mango dessert is great at least.

Had this also. Was hungry ten minutes later. Was also baffled why every other option had a real salad and I got watermelon with sesame seeds?

they are, IMO, trying too hard and spending too little on some of the salad choices.

You could do some awesome things with the watermelon but stuff like this, the chickpea thing, just come up so short.

Agree to disagree here. These platings are years ahead of pre-covid offerings. Nice, wholesome, and interesting combinations with a focus on health and wellness. I'm going to give Delta praise where its deserved. I don't think I'm alone here, but many FC pax likely visited the club before (and likely will after) a flight. There's food available if you're hungry.

There'll be snacks. Flights over 900 miles get to pick items from "premium" snack basket in C+. They used to have some fresh fruit options in basket pre-Covid, but now it's just pre-packaged stuff. It'll tide you over, but it won't be terribly substantial and you should probably plan on eating a meal before flight.
