First D1 flight is next Friday. When will I get an email asking me to select my meals ahead of time?

I would check the App and see if it's there yet. Didn't get an email for my D1 flight next week, but option to pick meal started showing in App sometime about a week out (not sure exactly when as hadn't been checking that often).

Need better variety!
Had the impossible burger, it was alright for being a hot option, the other two options were a hot vegetable plate or cold chicken with assorted veggies. They need to have better variety for the lunch menu, have at least one hot option with meat, not two veggie/vegan options and the only meat option be cold. Of course this is my two cents and hopefully they’ll improve. This was on the IAH-MSP route.

I sent in an email on the lunch service from last week and got a response that they will be phasing in First Class food and preordering meal service to domestic flights very soon, with having this roll-out complete by mid-summer. I hope that is an accurate time frame!

I know I shouldn't "upgrade for the food," but will be flying JFK-BOG next month and am currently in C+. Delta offers "dinner" in Y and FC (it's FC instead of D1 on this route) for JFK-BOG. Is the catering whatever would be in Y for any international Delta flight vs whatever would be on a domestic/Mexico/Caribbean FC route? Assuming no preordering as well either if it's a FC instead of D1 flight?

Anyone with FC experience (breakfast or lunch) meal service on this route? Assuming cold meal b/c of E170 equipment.

Great cabin crew, everything (seat, PTV) worked, early arrival..overall great flight

PDB of OJ or sparkling wine in glassware

Pre-meal drink service and amuse-bouche

Initial tray set up with cream of celeriac soup with truffle tapanade, burnt goat cheese with hummus spread salad, warm roll (no choice)…

Main of seared prawns with asparagus and roasted tomatoes atop squid ink linguini - pre-order only; served separately after collecting the soup and salad tray

Sundae with all toppings; other choice was a praline/pastry

Mid-flight chocolate chip cookie service

Pre-arrival smoked salmon with seaweed and edamame salad. Other choice was the cheeseburger

How do you rank the following: corn-fed chicken supreme, braise Australian lamb shank, spinach and ricotta polenta crespelle?
I’m torn between the lamb and vegetarian, my girlfriend is considering the chicken or vegetarian.
which ones are the best, and are they actually good?

Full meal service today on MCO-MSP.
Options were: impossible burger; Mediterranean chicken with cous cous; sous vide chicken with vegetables.
I believe the middle option (which I chose, pictured in line) was not meant to have chicken and the FA was mistakenly calling it a chicken meal.
Nonetheless, it was tasty.
No PDB. Plenty of in-flight refills.
In case it matters to anyone, the Delta "updates" seem to have done away with any place to find a menu showing available beverages. Not found via the seatback screen, nor on any of the linked pages suggested for in-flight options.
