Guess you never ate any of the sad box sandwiches. The last one I had was partially frozen, the part that wasn't frozen was so wet it triggered my gag reflex and the lettuce was in such bad shape it was black. I have to wonder how you function in society if you can't eat make a sandwich. Not sure how anyone can make a sandwich disgusting, but DL managed to do it.

Oh I was not aware of that. So in the inflight entertainment you have all of this information as you mentioned? Drinks, snacks, today's meal etc.? That is great. I honestly regret that I chose BA to get the FFP status (for multiple reasons).

just had this ex SEA. I thought the fish dish back in end of Feb was a lot better. This one (while a big portion) was dry and dish overall required additional s+p.

Yes I would like to know if they have brought rum back also.
As rum is very popular I didn't understand why it wasn't offered

I've eaten a bunch of them and they were all fine. Maybe you just have the worlds worst luck.

Honestly this forum is full of people who seem to have these incredible strings of "bad luck" and I'm guessing there is another reason their experiences are so different than everyone elses.

This form is filled with people who hold companies responsible to the premium products they advertise. I can assure you, if Delta advertised the ACTUAL first class food offerings that were available during the pandemic and that they are still serving, complaints wouldn't exist as the proper expectation would have been set. Instead, this form is here to help inform others on the actual current offerings on board. If this disinterests you, please move on.

I experienced this several times in F heading into PLS and the FA’s always told me the catering to some of these vacation destinations suffered from poor food options.

Nearly 2000 miles with that “meal” is ridiculous though.
never had this issue at AUA or PLS - always full catering. Maybe they aren’t “back yet”. Regardless if that’s the case and you’re not ready, the itinerary should be updated accordingly.

Scenes from Domestic F over the last week.

Four F flights over the last week. Hot food in all. FEBO on 3 of 4. Overall, pretty happy with the food that’s back. I would say better than pre-COVID. Service was generally good.

MSP-SEA Breakfast. Quiche with crumbled ham on top. Very tasty. Other choices were cold overnight oats or hot oatmeal (weird to have two oatmeal dishes)

MSP-SEA Lunch. Impossible burger a s tasty carrot side salad. Burger was good, bun was together enough to eat like a burger. Still like the blueberry cheesecake.

SEA-MSP Lunch. No FEBO so I was almost last so choices were Cauliflower Cakes or Charcuterie Plate. The Cakes were actually pretty good as was the Orozo. I liked each but it was a lot of the same texture.

SLC-MSP Dinner. Choice of Mushroom Ravioli, Cold Couscous and chicken or the Short Rib. I liked this A lot. The pickles onions went great with the meat. The Carrots were perfectly cooked.

Uhh. you should check out other sources across the internet. Plenty of people post on reddit and twitter about getting some pretty crappy sandwiches.

I think a lot of us are very understanding of the issues Delta (and most other airlines) are seeing with catering. I completely understand supply chain and labor issues are why the industry hasn't been able to just flip a switch and go back to pre-COVID over night. But I have also gotten some food on Delta (and others) that is a complete joke and basically inedible (being frozen is the biggest issue I have run across)

To the point that I was mostly buying food in the terminal or taking pre-packaged food from the SkyClubs (when it was a thing) and turning down the sad boxes.
and I am FAR from some of the DYKWIA, picky, "OMG you gave me a PLASTIC CUP!" FTers. But Delta (and others) have some very big issues in COVID era catering. (we don't even talk about what a f'in joke Premium select catering is now or the lack of PFBs)

Flew the LGA-BOS-LGA shuttle today. There was an announcement saying that due to the short flight, they were unable to provide any service. A moment later, the same FA who announced there would be no service, came through first with water bottles and then with a choice of pretzels or biscotti. On the return, there was the same announcement which I expected would then be followed by water and snacks. But this time there was nothing, despite it being a longer flight.

So which is it? is there supposed to be service or not? Doesn't the shuttle get special treatment, even though it is under 200 miles? Or are those days long since passed

It's supposed to get special service, but the Delta Shuttle web page was curiously pulled down around the end of last year. It was at https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...a-shuttle.html. You can find snapshots of it from 2021 on the Wayback Machine Archive.

Any idea on what the meal options will be for a westbound TATL flight (MUC to DTW)? I'll be in PS, but I think that meals are the same as Main.

Eastbound TATL (ATL-MUC) I was in C+ and the options were Four Cheese Ravioli (pretty good)i or Chicken Marsala (co-worker said it was good). We also had a pre-arrival breakfast sandwich, but that was definitely worth skipping.

Same meal choices as Main and C+ (C+ has always gotten same meals as Main). There are rumors of improvements to PS service later this year.

How early are people getting the email with the pre-select options coming for Delta One flights now?
