LAX - KOA, 3/23/22
FEBO Observed. No PDB. Real silverware and glass! 3 choices:
* Meatball plate (pictured)
* Pizza w/ pesto sauce - pax across aisle ordered and it was in same bowl cut on the bias (similar to French bread pizza)
* Cold Salmon (no further explanation and didn't see anyone receive this)
Meatballs were delicious w/ side of ricotta. Blondie brownie tasty. Salad crisp and had celery in it served with wrapped ranch style dressing (very dill forward). Happy to have a warm meal on the plane!! Lime was self-catered hehe.

Mrs T and I are flying ATL-LHR next week in D1. She needs to eat Gluten Free food, but IME airlines are not too good at delivering a nice meal if you specify GF. Usually we just see what the standard meals are and pick the non-GF bits off.
Does anyone have experience with the GF options in D1 International?

Today JFK-NAS was the cold boxes of yore. FA was disappointed and hypothesized it had to do with the need to cater for both legs ex-JFK, but didn’t they do that before?

Dinner in D1/FC ATL-SFO
We are flying ATL – SFO tomorrow at 18;40. We are in the first class section with D1 configuration. Will that be a hot meal? I’m a little concerned that we weren’t able to choose the meal after checking in. (It’s been so long since we’ve flown long distance that I just can’t recall… Is that because we are under 24 hours from departure?)Thanks

Thanks. Was looking for the menu posting but that’s just being obsessional. With the improvement in food at the clubs, we won’t starve. Tomato sauce and I don’t get along well, and on the way down every single hot offering at the sky club was tomato-based. OK but good to know. Thanks again

So what is pre-order situation is it (1) All Delta-One flights int and Dom can pre-select meals or (2) Delta One and domestic first can pre-order?
Also are premium select still getting coach meals?

Inconsistent catering: hot meals but no glassware… It definitely beats the boxes but if dishes were loaded, why not glasses?

AMS-DTW today

Ball of mozzarella with some tomato and an olive

Pork loin was actually pretty decent

Toffee sundae (other option was a stroopwafel cake)

Burger was not great, which is consistent with the other times I’ve had the burger in D1

DL318 BOS-SEA (Fri 24 Mar, 1715 departure, 75S)
PDB!! (prosecco, oj, or mix)
5 pre-order choices; regrettably I didn’t take a screenshot, but iirc the mains were lamb, chicken, beef, pasta with shrimp in a lobster bisque (pictured; tasty, but I only finished half), and a vegetarian option
DL ought to take a page from Alaska’s playbook and offer the nuts (warmed) with a pre-meal beverage service
the “salad” was edamame and corn with a few stray greens, topped with an avocado slice coated with something crunchy — not something I’d recommend to anyone
the lemon tartlet was quite good
