Lunch today in F LAX to PVR. The veggies were tasty and more than I could eat. Other choices were meatballs or chicken piccata.

Any thoughts on this? Late night flight anyway so probably just a nibble... Tried to search for Spam to no avail.

Went with the vegetarian non dairy special meal. Getting tired of the same options out of LAX. I find it particularly shameful that international D1 routes offer the same meal selections as domestic first out of LAX. Slept though the mid flight snack but the standard menu listed a pizza/flatbread.

Same prawn salad out of Boston and Detroit, the shrimp were bigger out of Detroit so they win the competition.

ATL - SJC, 8:08pm scheduled departure
Pre-selected the BBQ Short Rib. It was fine -- I would have preferred a different starch with the ribs and the dessert was pretty disgusting. Overall a very mediocre offer, I only had a 38 minute layover but next time would rather have just gotten Chick-fil-a

LAX - RDU, ~1015am scheduled departure.
Went with the pre-selected Vinny's meatballs. Thought I took a picture (apparently not) but same complaint. It would've been much better with a pasta of some sort instead of the bread that was soggy (because they put it in the same dish as the meatballs).
That said the crew was great on both flights (all four including the connections) but the food was definitely mediocre at best.
I did also try the Imagery Wine for the first time (at least that I recall) and I was pleasantly surprised with both the the Cab Sauv and the Chardonnay. Was it the best wine ever? Not a chance, but at least it was solid and it's consistently available so now I know that I don't mind it and can order it in the future (vs the old approach where it was a complete crapshoot what was loaded on every domestic flight).

Just flew on LAS-BOS today... some interesting changes.
Blanket and pillow were provided in first. Asked the FA and they said its coming back on certain routes.
Rolled linen with metal utensils was replaced with a sealed paper sleeve containing bamboo knife/fork/spoon.
Ugh, why? This 'sustainable' crap is getting out of hand. I really hope the bamboo isn't going to be widely rolled out for F meals. That stuff belongs in a to-go lunch box, and the thin paper napkin was basically useless if you have anything you need to wipe/clean from the meal. The linen is much nicer.
Bamboo utensils are just nasty to eat with, right up there with soggy paper straws.
