Delta One TLV JFK
Delta One TLV-JFK, a330-900 neo with suites, very pleasant experience. Delta improved service almost back to better days.
Had the beef Kebab and mashed potatoes with Salsa delicious. The ice cream sorbet with cardamom sauce and pistachios was also delicious. The salad was uninspiring. The pre selected meal was delivered. Not sure if this is special catering for Israel based flights, the other choice was zaatar spiced chicken breast with risotto, but it was much better than last year. Pre Departure drinks real glass. Breakfast was Frittata again very well. Though I do not eat bread, it would be nice and more suited to have warm breadbasket with a few choices to choose from. Also missing the cheese tray as an option for dessert. The other desert option was pistacio cake. Not sure if this is due to night flight. But again Delta restored service, and much better than it used to be. Though Delta One service was much better 5 years ago. No printed menu besides the entrees. You need to read the QR code. Also would nice to get PJ light Virgin Atlantic or Polatis, and mattress pad will be nice addition, but got 5 hours of sleep. The amenity kit was meh. Nothing special, liked the Tumi better. Also liked the westin material better but was comfortable. Overall Delta runs a solid Product, flight on Friday night was full. Can see why they add Atlanta flights. A choclate was served before landing thanking us for taking the flight with them. Service is lovely.

The only complaint was long security line, no prioriity for security line for initial security interview for Delta One, only at check in. Ended up standing in line for an hour and a half and I am Israeli

I browsed this thread and Delta’s site but didn’t see one so apologies if I missed it - anyone have a drink menu handy for domestic Comfort+? Curious what liquors are available.

With that said the food ex-Isreal pre-pandemic wasn't great, so it looks like things improved.

TLV gave priority to business class for initial security screening. But they are really short staffed. This is not the practice anymore

Sorry if someone here thinks this belongs in the silly and pathetic (or whatever those adjectives are) complaint thread.

Special Meals in D1
Are the special meals in D1 any good? I am looking for a good low carb option. Perhaps I'm best off just going with a regular meal and picking out what I can't eat. Are there kids meal options for D1? Next flight is ATL-HNL.

I find it odd that four out of the five choices have a star (asterisk): two for vegetarian and two that contain pork. Maybe DL is very confident that its passengers all pay close attention to this, but it would be easy for someone to think that every asterisk means vegetarian or every choice with an asterisk contains pork.

Few posts later realized what was going on. As i stated then, when on one page, you're supposed to use a different * for each. Very confusing. I thought an entree was an impossible type entree because of this.

Because the information is right with the entry, not down at the foot of the page, no asterisk or other symbol is really needed anyway.

Agree. Adding the * just makes it confusing. If they wish to do so, as everything is on one page, different markings should be used.

woodford, jack daniels, bombay sapphire, du nord vodka (not good), pre-mixed margarita (not good), pre-mixed old fashioned (decent over lots of ice if you let the ice melt down a bit), red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, beer. Mixers have been Seagram's on recent flights rather than Fever Tree (not sure if its truly catering issue or cost cutting). This assumes everything is catered correctly - it frequently is not. Did I miss anything?

I have not had du nord, but they have a really cool story as a company that makes me want to support them. From an article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune:
"This doesn't happen," Montana said. "Small craft distilleries don't get placed on a major airline that moves millions of bottles every year. That's reserved for legacy distilleries and large companies. You couldn't possibly buy that kind of exposure."
"I can't overstate how massive of an opportunity it is," he added. "It means the world."
As in-flight beverage services slowly return to pre-pandemic levels, Delta is bringing Du Nord on board amid an effort to double its spending on Black-owned businesses by 2025, part of the company's larger diversity and equity initiative. Du Nord is the first Black-owned distillery in the United States.
As COVID hit last year, Du Nord pivoted from spirits to hand sanitizer. Then, civil unrest following the killing of George Floyd made its way to Montana's Longfellow distillery. Du Nord's warehouse building was set on fire and subsequently flooded by its sprinkler system. In the days and weeks that followed, Montana and his wife and co-founder Shanelle Montana turned their brick-and-mortar location into a food and supplies donation and distribution center while launching a foundation to support the rebuilding of other minority-owned businesses that were damaged during the unrest.
"When we first started chatting with Chris and Shanelle and learned what they've been through and managed to do in 2020, we knew we had to partner with them," said Mike Henny, Delta's managing director of onboard services operations.
It took more than a year for the details to be ironed out, and for Du Nord to scale up its production to meet Delta's needs."

Options for a morning SEA-ATL flight next week.
