very strange flight (seats vanishing like hot cakes) - started yesterday morning at 20 remaining seats; with 9 instant RUC upgrades available; when I went to bed there were 15 remaining seats; this morning there are five and it looks like only four of us were upgraded (took screenshots last night and this morning)

surprised - I find I get bumped up during Irrops and there was a set of flights where DL seemed to be holding back seats for Irrop - SAN to ATL didn’t clear anyone with 15+ ish at t-24 (F, not D1) and then they moved people from cancelled jfk flight

PM/AMEX Reserve. Decided to take the day off and do a mileage run today ATL-JFK-LAX-PHX-ATL. (Definitely going to pay for this at work tomorrow) All cleared to comfort and then first at window except LAX-PHX (2/7 with 3 seats in first avail so fingers crossed) RUC applied and cleared for delta one on JFK-LAX

I didd a mental health Wednesday trip CLE-ATL-FLL-ATL-CLE on 1/12/22, leaving the North Coast at 5:30 am and returning from the Gold Coast at 7:30 pm.
I was on a U fare. I got upgraded at the 5 day window on all segments except ATL-FLL. All segments featured 20 F seat aircraft. On the ATL-FLL, at check-in there were 10 empties in F, and I opened up at #1 on the UG list. At time of boarding, only 4 F seats were left, and I was #12 on the list, ending up at #8 for 0 seats. I slept comfortably in a window seat in C+. It was an excellent plane trip overall. I enjoyed the new club in FLL.

JFK to LAX upgraded at the gate. Gate agent put me and companion in 1A and 8B even though we were on the same ticket and 1 and 2 on the upgrade list. Was not the most helpful agent and only reluctantly helped us page the other passenger to switch
LAX to HNL 3 and 4 for 0 seats even with RUC

I was 13th out of 37 for 15 D1 upgrades. Missed the first wave of upgrades in the morning but managed to get upgraded at the gate. Used RUC to upgrade redeye return flight LAX-JFK. Glad I did because available D1 seats shrunk from 17 to 1 at check-in and the Delta rep said there was one RUC space left when I called in.

1/16 BOS-ORD E-175, UG to C+ at booking, originally was supposed to fly on 1/12, COVID positive after new years pushed it to 1/16, cleared at PM window into FC. Not sure how much flying I'll be doing this year since new job in Chicago..

JFK-LAX-HNL. PM 2/2
JFK-LAX- RUC cleared about 3 weeks before the flight to D1
LAX-HNL- had issues checking in for the flight, called and it was because the RUC cleared and they needed to reticket me to F. Agent was great and took care of it no problem. 7 seats in F left at T-24
Hoping i get this lucky on the return as well.

First flights of the year this week, as our NYE trip was cancelled due to various work-related issues. PM with companion, flying SEA-HNL. UG'd to FC on 1/21 at 5-day window. First time in the D1 suite on the A339, so excited for that.
Applied RUCs on the return flight, 1/27. Crrently 9 open seats 10 days out. Fingers crossed...

First flight since achieving Delta status. Gold Medallion with Reserve card traveling with wife who has no status.
SFO - LAX Skywest E175 on Fri 1/21/22 (DL4151) on a 5,500 SkyMiles each Main Cabin booking. Both cleared straight into First at T-72. FCM was selling for 5,900 SkyMiles from the moment that I booked last week and I was tempted a few times but glad I held off. Catching a VS A350 in J LAX - LHR on a separate booking later on Friday. Hoping that DL will interline at SFO.
100% upgrade success so far as a Delta medallion!
