Note that this does hit all of the conditions you gave - round trip, 90+ days advance, near EOS. But there was some availability at level marginally below the 105k each way.

Did not check on award flights from other US starting points - don’t actually have a signed contract for the job yet.
Rewards tickets are refundable, why not book to secure your spot?

There are currently seasonal roundtrip D1 awards to MAD, CDG, FRA, MUC, PRG and probably some other EU cities for 200K. It looks like these award fares are targeted explicitly to AA PHL, CLT, and DFW hubs. Seeing very limited availability to MUC from DFW and PHL, but not CLT currently. They require Tue-Thu travel. This is nominally cheaper than the low-level 210K roundtrip D1 EU awards which are not seasonally or day-of-week restricted. Outside of a possible 48-hour award sale, I doubt you will see anything cheaper than this.

Seasonal restrictions for 200K RT awards from the fare rules --

VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 08APR 22 AND ON/ BEFORE 06MAY 22. OR - VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 04SEP 22 AND ON/ BEFORE 22OCT 22. OR - VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 17NOV 22 AND ON/ BEFORE 19NOV 22. OR - VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 14DEC 22 AND ON/ BEFORE 16DEC 22.

Note that finding these awards in not simply a matter of meeting fare rule requirements. There also must be bucket availability in DL's lowest level D1 award bucket which is why it is so challenging to find these levels.

Who said I didn't? Still a lot of questions about that particular trip. However, with no-penalty cancellation, I've got a couple that are already booked but may or may not happen.

And, in case one is wondering about using miles to book a flight taken for business, this particular NGO handles business travel by sending you a check for the expected travel cost (based on coach seating) and lets you figure out how to get there.

That's nice if they use a realistic fare.

One time I was invited to speak at a meeting in Florida and the people who were paying found a $200 RT fare on some website that had an early morning departure from MSP and then four segments on different LCC/ULCC airlines that didn't interline with each other, getting me into my hotel after midnight (and missing the meeting's opening reception, of course). I refused and basically said if it's not DL nonstop, I'm not going.
