Delta to (re) start JFK-ARN nonstop June 2022

Loaded in the schedule change this weekend but not available for sale yet, looks like Delta is heading back to ARN (again) from JFK starting June 2022…they last served ARN nonstop a few years ago with a 75S. This time it will be on the 763ER (76K).

DL204 JFK 730pm ARN 930am+
DL205 ARN 1130am JFK 210pm

Actually, they tried JFK-ARN over 5 years ago and it did not work out. Due to low demand. I don't think they ever reconsider it again. We shall see what happens. This time they will get better. Let see how it goes.

Delta will have competition on the route: Finnair is now flying JFK-ARN, in addition to JFK-HEL.

AY Also LAX-ARN. (I believe MIA also, but not sure) AY is coming for US. DFW/SEA-HEL start in 2022.

I was at CPH today and noticed DL software loaded on checkin machines. It says not currently available and is grayed out.

I really don't get it, out of all hubs Delta has, ARN doesn't need flights to JFK. There are plenty of flights to JFK and NYC from Scandinavia and ARN as is, with better planes and better product.

BOS/ATL/MSP/LAX/SEA would all have been much better choices.

With SAS and Norwiegan Air cutting direct service to LAX, I wonder if Delta is trying to make a more direct connection to ARN. Normally, i have connect through AMS or CDG... A Delta connection through JFK to ARN is a very welcome connection for my West Coast to Scandanavia travels for 2022... Very Exciting!

In Stockholm, flying ARN-JFK on Sunday in D1
EF shows 2 open seats only.

Sweden did amazing the last two years.
Minimal closures, minimal restrictions, and the economy and public health shows strong resilience.

Not surprised this route is operating, a lot of prosperity here in Sweden
