Okay... Perhaps this might help?... If you have more than 25,000 Frequent Flyer miles in your account and you need to get "over the hump" with a need for 203 more MQD's, here is the cheapest solution... USE your FF miles to fly anywhere you can get to for 25,000 miles (or 30,000 if you have 30,000 FF miles in your account?)... Not everyone flying with Delta is aware that FF miles can still be used for the remainder of 2022 as part of a "double dip"... If you use those 25,000 FF miles you will get 250 MQD for 2022, thus covering the shortfall you have in trying to reach your goal. FYI, this "double dip" offer from Delta (with FF miles concurrently accruing MQD value towards 2023 status) will end this year (after it's been offered these last 2 years)... In fact, my advice to anyone with FF miles is USE THEM THIS YEAR (to help improve your 2023 MQD status), as next year your FF miles will just be worth free travel and will not help you get to your Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond MQD threshold, which we were able to do in 2021 & 2022).

VS Award for DL Metal - Elite
Looking at DCA-HND in coach for May 2023. ~100k SM or ~50k through VS, and Chase has a transfer bonus. Im a Delta PM, how does that interface with me buying this flight through VS transferring miles? Do I get any of my benefits, like choosing a C+ seat? Also, would I be eligible for award based cabin upgrade offers? If so, who would I go to for them? TIA.

Flight for sale in app but not operating?
I'm currently going through a frustrating situation where our original ICN - PDX flight was cancelled. We are being routed through SEA, which is fine, but have a 3 hour 50 minute connection. I saw today that there is an earlier SEA - PDX flight that would reduce our connection to an acceptable 2 hours but when I reached out to an agent via messaging, they are claiming that the flight is "not operating" even though it is for sale in the app for Sunday, 11/13. Is this a HUCA (or HUMA, I guess?) situation or does the agent know something the general public doesn't?

Hello! New here and trying to map out how to reach Diamond this year on Delta, and when looking at the last flight I took (Business D class on Korean Air - which should quality for 40% of miles flown as MQD), I'm seeing I was credited slightly more than 40%. Does anyone know how this happened?
For one way, MQM (excluding any bonuses) was 6,906 (matches exactly to gcmap.com).
40% of 6,906 should be 2,762 MQD but I received 3,606 (about 52%).
The only way this makes sense if it was calculated with base miles (I earned 18,030 - Business class should earn at 200%, so half of that would be about 9,000, and then the 40% would be 3606 and accurate). However, this mileage seems too high for the route?
Can someone help me figure out how this was calculated?

Do you have any DL status? Was the flight DL marketed?
It sounds like a DL-marketed (KE-operated) flight in D class with an allocable base fare of $3,606. Without status, you would earn 5x the fare as RDM.

Thanks. I suspect this was the issue but I didn't want to waste more time going through this with an agent while on vacation. I decided to try to standby upon arrival at SEA but the flight was sold out, so the original flight it was.

How close to a flight can a main cabin ticket be cancelled for a eCredit? Say flight is at 9 AM, can it be cancelled at 8:55 AM? Can it be done on the site without having to call? What if I already checked-in on the app? What if I went into the delta lounge using the boarding pass (and platinum card)? Can it be still cancelled for an eCredit? Thanks!

A non-refundable ticket can be canceled up until the point the coupon is voided for you being a no-show. If you have not checked in, this is usually the check-in deadline. If you checked in, this is when the gate agent manually offloads you; usually around T-15m to departure but I would not cut it that close.
A refundable ticket will be canceled at the same point, but the coupon retains its value and can be refunded after cancellation at any point during the validity of the ticket.
If you access the lounge with a ticket you then cancel, this is auditable and a repeated pattern of doing something like this will probably get you into trouble.
