Be careful when booking LA PREMIERE via DL codeshare, especially via Google flights.

The system can get confused by the codeshare number and actually be booking you a PE cabin ticket.

I’ve now gone into ITA and used the DL marketed code…I think that is most likely my best bet before calling the Diamond line or trying to find it on delta.com to book. Found flights in the 8xxx that seemed to match up

I've tried direct search on delta.com and using ITA Powertools and bookwithmatrix.com and none would show these fares on delta.com. For online booking, it looks like you'll have to use third-party booking sites like Priceline or Expedia (both of which were able to pull up DL marketed flights without having to go through Matrix first).

I know it's possible to do, but you'll probably have to modify the URL you get to make it work with "FIRST" as the cabin type:

Code:
https://www.delta.com/flight-search/search?cabin=FIRST&paxCount=1&price=9098.07&tripType=roundTrip&exitCountry=US&currencyCd=USD&fareBasis=FN1H97F1:FN1H97F1&vendorRedirectFlag=true&vendorID=Google&itinSegment[0]=0:F:SFO:CDG:DL:8599:JUL:11:2022:03P&itinSegment[1]=1:F:CDG:SFO:DL:8552:JUL:18:2022:10A&numOfSegments=2&mkcpgn=MS_GFSR_DESK_INTL_TR_DL_140414_GFSDESK_US

If you paste that link into a fresh incognito window, and maybe you have to try it twice in the same window, it will eventually price out:

VFR and dtwtransport like this.

Thanks, was able to price out other itins on delta.com with some URL surgery based on above. Main culprit seems to be ITA Powertools and bookwithmatrix.com use older www.delta.com/flight-search/book-a-flight link which wasn't working, while URL above uses newer www.delta.com/flight-search/search link which worked. Just adding cabin=First wasn't sufficient when I tried it.

Yesterday, I booked my LP flights with DL. I called in 7 different times over 4 weeks to try and get an agent that knew what they were doing to book the DL marketed AF LP flights. Great Diamond Desk agent yesterday that only had 6 months experience at Delta. I thoroughly explained what I needed, she listened and consulted multiple times with global support. It was her first LP booking. On the phone for about 30 min but that was fine.

I was very pleased with her customer service. She told me it was her first LP booking and she was very happy to have this under her belt and thanked me for booking LP so she could learn and know for the next LP customer.

All in all, a great experience with DL

For those of you that have flown LP, at what point do they reach out to you with their LP phone number, etc. My flights aren’t until August so I’m in no rush right now.
VFR, Mhyduchak, truncated and 1 others like this.

It likely almost always makes sense to book La Premiere through Delta now, since the 75,000 RDM per ticket cap is now gone.
VFR is online now
