Delta codeshares on KQ flights

Back in 2018 Delta/Kenya Airways announced that they'd be adding DL codes to intra-african flights from NBO, such as ADD, MPM, JNB, etc. Fare rules allow connecting on them even, but they don't seem to exist. Anyone know what happened? I fly to Africa enough I think I would have noticed if it was ever implemented - but I may have missed it.

https://news.delta.com/delta-air-lin...-us-and-africa was the article back then. I saw even more recent news in October 2020 about even more codeshares on the US side, but haven't seen a single itinerary with Delta + KQ, other than KQ to NBO through AMS/CDG (and even that is rare). For KQ coded DL flights, I haven't seen anything either - just KQ/AA itineraries for some reason.

Is Kenya certified by FAA as in compliance? If not this may have changed the equation.

NBO got certified a few years ago, which allowed KQ to start its NBO-JFK flight. It was stopped temporarily in 2020, but is back. I don't think there are any regulatory issues. Plus for the US side, KQ is working with AA just fine for some reason.

What's in existence at time they fail can continue. However any new code sharing can't start. Have no clue if it's an issue here just one possibility

Its just as likely they've not gotten through regulatory paperwork and/or decided to hold off.
