It may be late as this is from March. But I have done this via the Delta App. Traveling in 2022 outbound JFK to BRU PS inbound BCN to ATL Delta One.

This isn't what thread is about. What youre doing is fine. What was discussed was buying PS one way and BE (BASIC ECONOMY, not Business Elite) the other. BE fares can't be booked on same ticket as non-BE fares.
