Delta/aeromexico question

Im booking flight from canun to Atlanta through mexico city. The first leg is on aeromexico. The aeromexico site is showing 787 the delta site is showing 737. Im confused as to what it will be. March 17 is the day im looking at.

They mustve changed it. They were showing earlier and the last few days mustve been in the system and wasnt fully showing up.

See it says 787. But showing 737 seat map.

DL7519 is AM523 on 3/17. AM site is showing the aircraft as a 737 which would seem fairly definitive. The flight has gone back and forth between a 787 and 737 with the 787 mostly being flown on Sat/Mon/Thu -- https://flightaware.com/live/flight/AMX523

CUN-ATL is a sub-two hour flight take-off to touchdown - it's only 80 miles longer than going CUN-MEX.

Unless you were dead set on getting a 787 flight or wanting the extra MQMs, I'd just go straight to ATL. Connections in MEX aren't the most fun - the AM lounge is not worth the time (The AmEx lounge is at least decent) and it's a decent bit of walking in transferring.
