Last time I flew that route, I similarly saw a number of folks clear at the gate, and not surprisingly almost everyone was flying with a companion, so I suspect you are right. I was also surprised that on my outbound, there were 15 who didn't clear the list, whereas on the return, only two pax didn't clear--quite the discrepancy, but I guess it probably reflects the most popular times and days of the week for the outbound and return trips.

The other possibility on that route is that some folks may have SDC'd upon recognizing they are flying wide bodies MSP-RSW as of late.
