Smaller planes, less capacity, pilots paid less contractually, lower overall operating costs.

In a world where traffic is going to be a small fraction of what it used to be for the foreseeable future, having a fleet of the smallest international-capable planes available is an asset to Delta, even if the onboard seats are a little dated.

You are so right. The job title of "analyst" is often misused these days to describe glorified jr. coordinators who can barely think, especially at DL.
