Bump.

This thread was re-opened due to the widespread lack of meals designated as "Breakfast", "Lunch", etc actually being served on domestic F flights as advertised to start on July 13th.

I would suggest going to your app and taking a screenshot of every future F booking you have that displays an actual meal and save it. Then you can make a case for compensation when...

1. The meal is not served as advertised.
2. They remove the meal designation from the flight after you bought your ticket.

Yes, though drinks will be from mini cans and the OP may have to request at least two cans

Technically ice is officially “by request” only but many FAs are just pre-pouring in ice anyway. Also don’t forget that according to the Mayo Clinic, hot food is perfectly safe fine on select transcons and INTL routes but only snack boxes are safe enough for any other DL marketed flights. Amazing how COVID knows the difference and stays away from select routes based upon DLs marketing.

Ironically DL.com is still showing that Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner will be served alongside a picture of a plated meal (which is false advertising anyway as the new meals when rolled out will only be “boxed” not pre-plated) on all flights over 1,500 miles right now!

Lavish bedding, incredible fine dining served on fine china with 5-course tasting menus (wine pairing of course), attentive and caring flight attendants, turndown service.

When UA secretly removed the proper Saks duvets from premium transcon flights last year, I opened a backcharge with AMEX and got back 90% of my fare. I had originally asked for a lot less, but apparently UA lied to AMEX and to AMEX's credit they were very aggressive protecting this Platinum member.

I would strongly recommend booking DL tickets with AMEX and then inform AMEX on how DL didn't deliver the product it advertised explicitly which is the absolute truth since it is now 7/17 and DL is still designating meals on its booking engine for flights over 1500 miles knowing that these only have boxed snacks.

You would need to fly DL's most hated airlines, mainly Emirates and Qatar, for that type of service and you can even add designer pajamas and amenity kits

Using chargebacks over inlight service failures is really playing with fire. A few of those and you likely won’t be flying said airline any more.

I'm not sure I would have the guts to do a chargeback on a flight, but good for Amex for sticking up for customers. Airlines have got to stop false advertising.

Perhaps "Schedule Change Saturday" will become "Meal Removal Saturday" for Delta IT today. Then they can say then never promised you a meal in the first place.

Clearly someone in Risk Management is aware of these thousands of instances of false advertising all over their website. Earnings are out of the way. It's time to level with their Premium customers no matter what it takes Just come clean and address the service issues with an accurate timeline and an apology at a minimum.

I have no status on UA, B6, or AA and have updated my dormant FF accounts, added the apps to my phone and am ready to pay cash for F there on my next booking if need be. Got plenty of MQM to keep DM for a few years.

You are not missing out on snack boxes anyway. Personally, I really don't like either snackbox options (nor on UA, so this is not just on DL). I usually get real food on short haul flights prior to boarding the plane - either eat in the terminal or bring on board.
