Most likely still regular butter, just in cylindrical form instead of a butter pat. I feel like maybe it's more of a European thing?

It's rather perplexing how French Delta and Mexican Delta can serve real food on actual plates. It's almost like they actually want their customers fed and not hangry. Just a wild thought.

Note that Mexican Delta typically serves SOAP (s*** on a plate) but from the beggars can't be choosers department, we now long for such culinary delight.

Even SOAP sounds better than boxes at this point.

Maybe soon there will be a SkyMiles promotion with some wellness clinic to earn bonus miles to get a treatment to purge our bodies of the remnants of spreadable shelf-stable cheese.

After a great run, I think its time to finally sunset this thread and continue the discussion in the 2021 official meal thread. I have moved over some recent posts there. I know we discussed doing this later, but with the return of selection of meals via the app/website, and food service returning on flights over 1500 miles, I think its time we sunset this thread and start fresh.

Delta In-Flight Meal/Food Service: The Definitive Thread — 2021 Edition

Question LGA-BHM (866 Miles) First Class Service

Flight is the non-stop at ~8pm. What will be on offer? Is this from delta.com up to date? Is soda back? Ice? At 866 miles, it looks like no snack box?FLIGHTS 500+ MILES:
  • Delta Comfort+ and First Class customers will receive complimentary beer and wine service.
  • Customers in Main Cabin may purchase alcohol by using tap-to-pay.
  • Coffee, tea, Coca-Cola mini cans and juice will be available in all cabins.
  • First Class snack boxes available on flights with 900+ miles.

You pretty much answered your own question. Drinks will be available (sodas, juices, beers, wine, cocktails). I would expect a pass or two of the snack basket to accompany the drinks so if you want something more substantial to eat onboard, you may want to pick-up something in the terminal.

Oh, DL brought back hard liquor? My paste from delta.com indicates beer/wine only.

This is an "Express" flight, or whatever DL calls it. An RJ.
