- 6/15 Hot meal service returns to select D1/FC Transcon flights - JFK-SEA/SFO/LAX + BOS-SEA/LAX
- 6/15 Snack basket returns to select FC/C+/and D1 flights as well as Y Flight Fuel Box sales returning
- 7/28 (limited to SEA/SFO/LAX/SLC to/from hubs/focus cities) Meals on FC flights over 1500 miles departing before 9PM. Meals will likely be cold/uncooked items like salads and sandwiches.
- 8/17 and 8/24 Remaining FC flights over 1500 miles get meals.
- 8/24 hub-to-hub (inc. focus cities) routes between 900 and 1500 miles get meals
- 8/31 full restoration of old meal service standard (meal windows seem to be gone) with all FC flights between 900-1500 miles getting meals

A friend of mine overheard a flight attendant talking about it. Again these are just rumors and I don't want anyone to get in trouble if it's confidential. And it may just be FA talk... But I feel pretty good that we're going to get more drinks most likely starting next month, and meals starting in Q3. Also heard that the new meals might be based on departure city and "catered" from known local establishments to regionalize, similar to the local beer offerings at the Sky Clubs.
Not holding my breath until Delta stops blocking seats.I think Delta will have to return to full beverage and meals once they stop blocking seats or lower their prices from the competition since they can't say no food and drinks is due to safety issues if they are allowing strangers in the seat next to you

So I think it's been discussed before, but according to rumors, the full bar will be back in Q2, and I'm not sure if that's just first class or for the entire plane as well as full meals for domestic F in Q3. Snack boxes until then. Apparently it's all new meals and a refreshed liquor cabinet with maybe some new items? Again, only rumors, but it sounds plausible.
Again - Mayo clinic will provide guidance (not intended as sarcasm
)What is sure is that when food returns in will come with some 'enhancements' à la skymiles medallion program in the name of 'local cuisine' (and resourcing and such)

Maybe he means when families start booking but surely that is happening even now as well.
Or maybe the subtext here is that we are still not selling enough to start filling middle seats (even thought AA and UA are)

Yes full bar in April and meal service at Q3 start or Aug/Sept time frame BUT this is still fluid and based on infection rates. I have heard that if vaccinations pick up and infection rates go down Meals could return at Q3 start.

That is indeed correct, with the exception of ATL/MSP - HNL all domestic flights receive snack "flight fuel" boxes.

There is literally no reason to book a DL F seat in the Lower 48 right now if you want any actual service. if anything, you'll be lucky to have salami in the snack box.

Nope its correct as others will say. You get a box full of crap and warm beer wine or water. You need to fly other airlines if you want your moneys worth in First Class domestically. Delta has found that only their ice, softdrinks, food, and attentive service contains Covid (but again only domestically, Delta's particular strain of Covid doesnt exist on the same items internationally or on long haul flights to Hawaii).
