B6 doesn’t fly to IAD anymore (they dropped it in January 2019) and I doubt they return just to fly one daily SJU or LAX flight.

Recently flew ATL-HNL in Comfort +. Happy to report that there were two meal services, two drink services and water throughout. First meal was a choice between chicken/potatoes or cheese ravioli with pesto/tomato sauce, tomato cucumber dill salad and Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream for dessert. The pre landing snack was a mushroom and cheese "pizza twist."
Both options were decent, especially since I was expecting nothing. Crew was great and seemed excited to actually provide a service and did so with a smile behind the mask.

I overheard the options being offered in F and there were 3 choices... been tenderloin, pasta and chicken I believe.

Delta is obviously weighing the cost associated of offering meals. Rest assured, if competitors weren't offering meals and lie-flats on their longer Hawaii flights, Delta would be more than happy to fly you there with beer and wine only on a 739 (yes, I know it doesn't actually have the range).

Of course, right now they can't even keep their planes staffed properly, so maybe I'm giving them too much credit here.

AA, B6, and UA are all serving meals in premium transcon flights yet DL refuses to do so in D1... even when DL is assigning just 5 flight attendants to premium transcon flights operated by archaic 763s, given the fact that Y service is just a little bag with water and snacks, that's still plenty of crew to serve meals in D1.

Apparently BOGATL is still sandwich v sandwich, although it’s supposed to be “breakfast” service.

At least I noticed this time. Will have Rappi delivery me a DIY brunch and bring onboard lol

D1 is actually selling it seems on this route. Tomorrow has 18 bookings right now. I guess the fares are so low so probably stimulated some demand

AA and UA are also both serving liquor, Coke, and god forbid, ice in FC (and soft drinks in Y). It's 100% about cost and 0% about safety.

I can’t begin to tell you what a BIG difference ICE and a soft drink make on a flight, especially on a longer flight. And I feel sorry for these DL FA’s... they can’t even make themself a coke or sprite in the middle of a flight for a little pick me up...it’s been like this for months and will continue for the time being!

Agreed. For me the biggest annoyance is when I catch the 6 AM RDU-ATL and I can't get a juice or a coffee. When you're going straight to work upon arrival it makes a big difference. They do still offer beer though!

My most recent Delta flight was a 763 service: ATL-MCO.

Happy to report a PDB was offered:

... provided by cmd320 Catering and sponsored by the T Concourse SC.

Dinner service this evening included an 8oz Niagara to start. An intermezzo of Purell (non-flavored) followed and was quite a bit sharper than an ordinary limoncello or sorbet that I'm accustom to. For mains a lovely rack of Goldfish was offered which I found to be well seasoned and quite crisp. Finally, there was the imported Biscoff dessert which played nicely on the palate and left the diner craving more... of something...

At this point I chose to have my bed made up for the evening, accomplished at the touch of a button. After a great 20 minutes night sleep we were on approach to Orlando. Sadly no pre-arrival meal was catered on this route, something to think about for next time Delta...

It’s unfortunate you didn’t get the Charcuterie delight in a carefully sealed box. That is to die for!

Something that must clearly be reserved for flagship (please don't sue me AA) routes...

I don’t know why DL can’t offer cans of juice (specifically OJ since ice isn’t really needed). It would be great for morning flight and be super easy to serve alongside the beer/wine. It would also offer something other than water for those who don’t drink or are underage.
