The Delta One cabin on widebody aircraft, which is designed with more space and privacy built in, will be offered at full capacity effective Oct. 1.

Probably the MOST dangerous time to be without a mask is once the flight attendants come through the cabin and hand out snack bags.......you literally have about 80% of the people without a mask on scarfing down their snacks and water.
My personal goal is to sit away from as many people as possible.

Also, if scarfing down snacks was such a risk they wouldnt allow you to bring on your own meals! This is a total joke!

If they served more, they would lose more money. But also the workplace environment for all on board (FA's and Pax) would be less safe as everyone would be eating and drinking, and a report of a single superspreader flight these days will shave a few BILLION off their revenue.
it is a difficult balance.
I eat before the flight and pick the least dense part of the cabin I can. Lately that has been Y exit rows.

Humorously, I saw a trip report video earlier today from South Korea. No masks anywhere.

Honestly it takes me longer to get through the contents of the 'first class' snack box than an actual meal, not because it's more substantial but because it's more difficult to eat (lot's of dry, packaged snacks).

In the US, we have some counties with that kind of daily caseload.

That was a tongue-in-cheek post. Sorry for not clarifying.

Context is everything: If the entire pacific rim has under 1,000 cases a day, then masks would serve little purpose for COVID prevention over a dozen nations.

Or let you eat one peanut or M&M every 60 seconds and keep your mask off the entire time.

Snack bags from hell
Just took a long cross country flight with one connection. Received the same damn awful snack bag multiple times per flight
cheez-its
inedible protein bar
tiny bottle of water
no variety at all.
Just more cheez-its, the same god awful protein bar, more water. (rinse repeat)

They have to run out of cheese it’s at some point?! 😉
I’ve started taking my own snacks and beverage on board.
