New Stars on Delta Booking Engine - So Tacky
Oh my goodness. Just went to book a flight and see DL added star indicators for BE through D1.
BE = 1
MC = 2
C+ = 3
PS/FC = 4
D1 = 5
This looks so tacky.

I dont think PR/Advertising was brought in on this. It makes it look like Main is only a 2 star experience. Who wants a 2 star product? This isnt how "stars" work.

Shouldn't D1 Suites get an additional star over D1? Oh wait, that would mean either six stars (and there are no real six-star hotels) or BE has to get zero stars.

Looks to me like DL is testing out ATPCO's new cross airline standard.

DL wouldn't offer a 6* product, that would be AF's La Premier or EK's "residence"

Yikes! How dumb. Plus, you don't need the number plus the stars, that's redundant.
But I can understand that it's probably confusing for the regular traveler to see so many options and not really know what they're like.
I think something like "Good/Better/Best" might be...better, but with 5 "experiences" on some long-hauls now we'd need a few more adjectives. Bare/Satisfactory/Good/Better/Best?
I also wonder how they will slot in "Business Class" if you're, say, searching on JFK-CDG and there are AF options as well. I don't think those show under DeltaOne. Is DeltaOne more stars than business class?!

Yuck, I can only hope that someone's pitch accidentally got pushed to production, because that's tacky and also diminishes the quality of Delta MC comparable to their competitors. It should show
Spirit, United, Allegient: 1*
American Airlines: 2*
Delta: 3*
