Sorry for the lack of info.... Here's the full details.
We live in DFW. Only had enough Delta Miles for one way.... in business class for two. So, I cashed in some AA miles for our outbound. We're flying to LAX on American in on a 787-9 and spending some days with family, then flying Air Tahiti Nui 787-9 nonstop from LAX to CDG. We're spending two days in CDG. Then catching Easyjet to PSA and staying in Italy for a week, before taking a cruise for a second week Morning we return from the cruise we're flying easyjet from VCE back to CDG on a friday morning. The following day we head home and that's what I'm looking for advice on. Right now we're booked as follows: CDG to MAN Airfrance A320 Europe Business Class 8am -8:45am MAN to ATL Virgin Atlantic A330 Upper Class 11am - 3:15pm ATL to DAL Delta A320 First 9:35pm - 10:45pm That last leg of the flight was changed from what I originally booked. Since it was changed to leave so much later, I have the ability to switch to another flight. My options are 1) Only change the third flight to an earlier flight from ATL to DFW (instead of DAL) 2) Change to CDG to JFK A330 Delta One (no suites) 1:30pm - 3:51pm JFK to DFW A220 Delta First 6:15 - 9:22pm 3) Change to CDG to ATL 777 Delta One (updated with Suites) 3:50 pm to 7:29pm ATL to DFW A321 Delta First 9:21pm to 10:40pm 4) CDG to ATL 777 Delta One (updated with Suites) 9:10 am to 12:27pm ATL to DAL 717 Delta first 1:59 - 3:09pm AA flights on the outbound won't be changed, it's just the coming home legs. it's daytime flying. Virgin or Delta. is what I'm struggling with. I think Virgin is probably better product, but switching to the Delta afternoon flight would give me more time in Paris rather than the Atlanta airport.... Just want to keep the Mrs. smiling. + |

I'm currently booked on a Virgin Atlantic flight across the bond, but due to a schedule change, I have the ability to change to a flight time that gives my wife and I several more hours to spend in Europe. But if I make the change I'll be on Delta metal, instead of Virgin.
It's my wife's first time to Europe, and she rarely flies up front, so I want the trip to be special. Do your prefer Virgin's Upper Class or Delta One and if so tell me why? If it's a nice Virgin plane - 787-9 or A350-1000 - I'd go with them. Older planes? I'd stick with Delta. _especially_ if you are on an A340-600. |

I like Virgin so much that I'd take the train from Paris to LHR so you could spend some time in the Clubhouse before your flight home. Coupled with the unique Virgin service, it is truly an experience that she'll talk about for a long time.
+ It's not as simple as "Paris to LHR"... unless you spend time in LONDON (St. Pancreas > London [city] > LHR airport). |

I've decided to make the switch to Delta... it's the best option.
As we saw lots of Virgin fans out there who cast some doubt in my mind (their lounge in MAN under construction is supposed to top LHR when it opens later this year), but I agree with you guys why go to MAN if you don't have to..... even if that Virgin product is a little sleeker. As the wife said, she'll be happy either way. Appreciate the advice. |

Save the UK "luxury tax" (APD) on London TATL premium class departures too, although Paris has something similar.
