750 Mile First Class Rule Exceptions

Hello FT'ers!

For many years now, my understanding of Delta policy is that no 50 seat CRJ200's would be utilized on routes 750 miles or longer. Are there occasional exceptions to this? Looking at today's morning flight from ATW-ATL, it is showing as DL4814 as a CRJ200, with the normal B717 which arrived from ATL going to MSP this morning. I remember doing the ATW-ATL flights on CRJ200's when the service first started, but would hate to face that anymore. Thankfully Delta has seemed to follow the First Class on 750 mile segment rule closely, but perhaps there are occasional exceptions. FYI - this doesn't look like a last minute equipment change or anything, but hard to check as I can't find the downloadable schedule.

They break the "rule" around holidays. We don't get scheduled CR2 service from DL for 95%+ of the year here at XNA...with the ~5% being holiday weeks.

Flightaware shows 4814 is normally used for LGA-ORF flights and ATW-ATL is a one-off. Morning flight is normally the 717 (1167) and afternoon flight is normally a CRJ900 (5452). Going forward, the schedule remains similar and afternoon fight (when it operates) is either a CRJ700 or CRJ900.

I'm guessing this isn't actually a revenue flight, but it's pretty extreme for a CRJ-200 (1664 miles). Presuming it's a ferry flight with no pax.
