New headphones!

New headphones are out! Flying JFK-ZRH tonight. Sound is decent. Way better than the LSTN.

In this day and age, I can't see relying on any airline headphones, unless I really don't care about sound quality

awesome! Huge improvement for me (5’7” so the seat is plenty big for me). IFE is a huge step up and there’s tons of storage in the suite. Losing the door is honestly not a big deal, the suite is plenty private. I don’t notice the inch that TPG claims is lost. Downside is that you lose the “couple” seating in the middle section - I’m having to juggle the divider to pass things to my GF, but I do appreciate the fact that the middle section is now much more private for business travel.

How is the sound? I don't take comfort in seeing the DL widget on the side. If it were a real quality brand, I would expect to see it. But perhaps I'm wrong?

New headphones are on this morning’s DL423 JFK-LAX 767-300. Like most of us, I’m generally not a fan of airline-provided headphones. Might try these for a moment just to see how they do.

It would be hard to get worse than the old LSTN headphones, so looking forward to trying these on a future flight. I’ll be happy if they are merely listenable, and pleasantly surprised if these is some sort of working noise canceling involved.

May the old headsets rapidly find their way to a LNDFLL.

The earbuds in "normal" fc are worse.

In another thread I asked about keeping the LSTN phones, general answer was NO.
I just flew D1 from JFK to LAS, at the end of the flight they did not collect the (new) headphones. [When I flew AA they were very careful of keeping track of the BOSE hps, in some instances not letting pax deplane if one was "missing".]

New headphone replaces LSTN in D1

Just had a D1 flight and saw brand new headphones. A senior FA was equally surprised by them. I guess Delta does listen to us on how terrible and worthless those LSTN headphones are. Sadly, the new headphone, Delta logo molded into the earcups, are just slightly better. I can hear very slight noise cancellation effect when plugged in, but it's very weak and still not comparable to Sony or Bose. A tiny tiny step in the right direction.
