Should we try to be at the gate at T-40, JFK, domestic, A321, F and want to make sure we get overhead bins? It's a rather early flight, if that matters. It appears to be close to a full flight.

We haven't flown in quite a while, plus I wonder if things have changed.

Boarding times have been inconsistent. Boarding times in May for me have ranged from T-25 to T-45. On my last flight, a couple days ago, the F cabin was full and everyone boarded when F was called - first time I have seen this. If you want a prime bin spot, I would be there when your boarding pass states boarding begins (which May be T-40 or T-45 - I don't recall for that a/c).
