This thread reminds me of a time I was forced to board late (weather delays) with a very small personal item plus a legal roller bag, but there was no space in an overhead bin. I was in FC, IIRC in seat 2B, and a wonderfully kind gentleman in the bulkhead row, IIRC 1C, voluntarily offered to relocate his small backpack to the space under the seat in front of me so that I could put the rollerbag into the bin space over his seat that the backpack had been occupying. It was such a generous and sensible solution to suggest cooperating in this way. Amazingly nice!

I think this may be a selection bias problem. You see it in F more because F has a high concentration of elites. I know every time I've seen some bozo with three bags in the overhead, there have been DM tags hanging on all of them.

wait, what do you consider a "normal" connection??? 1.5 hours is an eternity, I literally cannot even remember the last time I booked a domestic connection that long.

If its LAX, everything is up for a toss.

If you get to a bussed gate just getting into terminal can take up-to 45 mins. Sometimes they circle around for a gate to open up.
Once we went on a detour circling the terminal and I seriously thought pilot was checking google maps to get to the right gate :D
