Additional bag after OLCI paid upgrade EU to USA - question.
 
A question from my dad - he is a Diamond Medallion.

He is traveling something like BRU-AMS-SEA-Whatever

During OLCI he was offered to upgrade his first leg to Europe business class for 49 EUR or so (this leg is operated by KLM the rest is Delta)

Here’s come the question: Can he have an additional bag for his entire flight or not?

No. It'll look at the long leg in coach and go by coach allowance of airline whose policy applies.

FWIW, the upgrade is not worth it. Euro Business is same coach seats, but middle is blocked. Otherwise only additional service is a sandwich/snack.
