Oooh. Has a date been announced?

Not convenient for where I usually hang in Beijing (Chaoyang) but still excited to see it.

They will presumably make an announcement after they firm up their slots. I'm also looking forward to trying out PKX, in spite of the inconvenience factor. It looks really impressive, based on everything I've heard thus far.

Their website has a date:

Our partner airlines will eventually move most of their connecting flights to the new Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), where Delta will begin operations on March 29, 2020

Interesting. The day after their last flights from NRT. Will be a busy weekend for DL ops in Asia.

My current (i.e. subject to change) prediction is that MU will not be permitted to brand many lounges there.

Will there be PP lounges (I wouldn't expect Centurion in mainland China somehow) as an alternative?

At present, PKX slots are wide open. As such, DL should presumably be able to write its own ticket (within reason).

I have to say I'll miss the humble terminal DL uses at PEK. First arrived there in 2002 on my first trip to China; a Northwest 747 from Narita.

The terminal is almost quaint!

http://www.delta.com/new-beijing-airport

It clearly states passengers will use the MU lounge at Daxing.

One may argue semantics on that. The actual quote:

Alternatively, Delta One passengers have the option to sit back and unwind in our shared lounge with China Eastern.
