I just saw this and was about to post the same. Inept TSA isn't really anything new.
My big thing is how on Earth did the gate agents allow the woman to walk onto the aircraft without scanning any BP. Either the GA was just paying absolutely no attention, or the woman somehow snuck around them (which itself would be quite difficult). I mean, every BP is scanned at the podium and quickly verified, I don't understand how someone could have been waved onto the aircraft without this being confirmed.
Here's a slightly better story: https://www.wftv.com/news/local/woma...anta/993971677

I can understand searching the plane, but I don't see the point of re-screening all the passengers on the flight but not re-screening everyone who was in the terminal at the same time as the woman.

I can see re-screening the plane and having everyone reboard, but do they even have evidence that she didn't pass through security?

Getting through security without any real ID, first of all. Not once, but twice, if she's saying that her ID is back at home in Atlanta (presumably she had to go through security on her outbound from ATL!). And then getting on a plane with the wrong boarding pass - I can't say I know exactly how they work, but you'd think that scanning a BP for the wrong flight at the gate would throw some error so the GA could be like "Sorry, wrong flight."
And then, when confronted with someone who has evidence of being the rightful occupant of that seat, to stubbornly refuse to move. Like I'm sure we've all at some point run into someone in our seat by accident and it's a quick "Row 23 is the next one over" or "The A window seat is on the other side of the plane" or whatever. But to have nothing to show for a boarding pass, and yet refuse to move or consider any sort of mistake or whatever - ...?
Just bizarre all around!

Questions did the women have ID and any boarding pass. If not how did she get through security. If someone at TSA messed up. That’s that. Why pick on the Delta flight to re screen has nothing to due what happened. I hope the passengers got some compensation.

If she wasn’t screened, she could have easily passed a weapon to someone else on the flight that had gone through security. Makes sense to me to re-screen the pax, but they probably should have re-screened everyone in the terminal. Of course that would be a mess, but that’s usually what happens when there’s a breach.

Wow! How it did happen? She sneaks on a plane without ticket & no ID. She didn't have a boarding pass. She was not supposed to be there. How she get through at security without ticket? She's breach security.
