Codeshares on KLM and seat assignments
I'm just wondering, but is there something 'special' about being on a Delta codeshare flight operated by KLM that makes them reassign your seat? Literally every time I am on an intra-euro flight, I pick my seat ahead of time and verify it both on the DL reservation and KLM reservation... and every time when I check in, I get assigned a different seat and the website doesn't let me change it. Typically this goes from an aisle to a window as well.
Is this a normal thing with KLM that seat assignments don't mean anything and they just give you whatever they want when they take control of the flight?
