Wine for precleared Intl Flight arriving in SLC
I have a flight from Vancouver connecting in SLC. Any experience with pre-clearance customs for checking a case of wine on a SLC flight? Will customs in Vancouver enforce Utah state law limit of 2 wine bottles per person? Yes, I'm an idiot for booking this connection.

No experience on the SLC question. But, I hope that case of wine is from the Okanogan. If you're connecting in Vancouver from somewhere else, I have additional bad news for you; BC has extreme protectionist import duty on wine, charging 100% of the value of any bottles in excess of your 2 bottle duty free allowance.
The duty does cap out at ~$13 CAD per bottle, which helps dull the pain somewhat on high end bottles of wine, but still, we've stopped booking YVR-origin flights when visiting wine regions after being surprised by this policy...
