Lounge access with lap infant via Amex Platinum

We are flying out of LAX (Hawaii flight) in economy with our lap infant. Our flight leaves first thing in the morning and we usually use the lounge for a quick breakfast and bathroom break if we arrive early. Will we be allowed to bring in our child (17 months)? My husband and I have our own platinum card for access.

Assuming you are talking about the Centurion lounge:
NOTE: FOR PLATINUM CARD AND CENTURION MEMBERS

We will admit children under 2 years of age free of charge, provided an accompanying parent or guardian is able to produce a “lap infant” boarding pass or proof of age.

Your infant should be free for admission to the SC, I was able to pull the policy for DL Reserve AMEX cardholders

Children 2 years old or younger can accompany you at no charge.

Thanks so much. I’m not sure whether we will be accessing a centurion lounge or a regular delta lounge depending on the terminal but hopefully no issues! Just want to do a quick in and out and meeting family traveling on the same flight at the gate to board.

I have argued with the SC and Amex about the wording of Amex's policy. The way I read that is a 2-year old can access for free and they begin charging once the child turns 3. My 26 month old children were denied access; I did not argue too much since that is consistent with DL's lap infant policy and everything else I could find on delta.dumb.

Edited to add full language from that section:
  1. Children 2 years old or younger can accompany you at no charge. Children between 3 years old and 20 years old can benefit from the exclusive per-visit rate of $29 per person.
