MSP Sky Club July 25th 5pm guest access needed
I have an older family member who has no Delta status or Amex Card that has a long layover at 5pm-7:30om July 25th at MSP. Does Delta offer a American Airlines Five star type of service I could pay for where they are escorted to and from flights that includes club access?

The Travelers Assistance office at MSP offers a service called “meet and assist” for travelers who need extra help or support for a connection, but it does not include an airline lounge. A travelers assistance volunteer will meet your relative and bring him/her to the volunteer office and then to the departure gate. The office does not have all the amenities of a lounge but does have a calm atmosphere, a couple of comfortable Lazy-Boy type chairs, cold drinks, and friendly staff and volunteeers. The volunteer could help your relative get something to eat at one of the airport restaurants and bring it to the office. There is no charge for this service although a contribution to the MSP Foundation, which operates the Travelers Assistance program, is always appreciated.
If you would like to arrange this, call the MSP Travelers Assistance office at 612-726-5500 on any day between 8am and 8pm.

Delta does not sell access to the Sky Club, but there is an Escape Lounge at MSP and you can pre-pay for entrance to the lounge.
Delta does offer a service called VIP Select (or at least they used to) which is like the AA service you are talking about. I believe it is only at LAX/JFK, but not sure. You could try to find out about that.

There's also a PP lounge (PGA) at MSP, but it's sports themed, so I wouldn't recommend it.
AFAIK one can still pay to enter DL lounges with an AmEx card (but does it need to be a DL AmEx?), at least when traveling DL.
The Escape lounge is likely to be the least crowded and most peaceful, but the lavatories are down the hall and unfortunately it sometimes has unruly children. Also, since it's not a DKL lounge, delayed flights aren't announced although there are airport flight monitors in the lounge.

Sky Clubs have not regularly announced flight delays in a long time, in my experience. They seem to make announcements only when there is a significant IRROPS impacting lots of of people.
