Stellar AF Treatment for a Diamond

I am a bit shocked, but finally above and beyond service for a skymiles elite customer. Traveling CDG to STR last week. Simple morning flight from commuter terminal. AF 1-way ticket. Checked in on-line, and only brought up my flying blue account. No way to change to delta number or list benefits. I really just wanted fast track access to security. Asked an AF employee, sent me to the kiosk, asked another and he brought me to a terminal and tried to help. He really worked at it but couldn't get anything to change. My flying blue finally brought up skypriority, at which point I agreed we would give up on delta number and proceeded to security. After 10 minutes wait just before sending luggage through belt, the check-in agent arrives in line and hands me a new boarding pass...I was shocked...he not only kept working on it, but also took the time to come find me in line. Small happy dance. I decided I would test this new service and had a few extra minutes so went to the AF lounge (again, flying on a totally AF ticket and no AF lounge status). Used my boarding pass with all the diamond credentials and was asked if I had a guest I would like to grant access to or if I was traveling alone...AF made a very happy customer last week.

So strange you got access to the lounge ? With one oneworld they give you access to a first class lounge

AF protects the integrity of its FC lounge by not admitting riffraff aka partner elites.

The point is that most FF programs require you to credit to the program in which you have elite status in order to use elite benefits.

It’s always good to have a positive story. I think AF generally does a good of recognizing partner elites.
