Stoopwaffle on DL flights?

I just discovered the stoopwaffel (crunchy vanilla waffle snack) surfing on another site.. but I believe there was a time before where delta had these puppies onboard in the snack basket. Any sightings recently?

I don’t recall Delta offering them. You’re probably thinking of KLM, who absolutely do give them out as snacks from time to time. United also has offered them onboard recently, I believe.

Stoopwaffle sound like something we left, on fire, on the mean neighbor's doorstep on Halloween.

It's actually Stroopwafel (with an 'r' and only one 'f') -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroopwafel
If you are in AMS, you are probably within 100 yards of some place that sells them no matter where you are in the airport. Many larger US grocery stores stock them.

United serves them cyclically in main cabin on morning flights.

They are often the only redeeming quality of flying on UA's CRJ-200s.

a stroopwafel warmed over a cup of illy coffee is the only worthwhile thing about my annual UA jaunt.

AA had them in the business class cabin last April. I haven't seen a stroopwafel on any Delta flights though.

American had them for about two years up until about a year ago but I have never seen one on a delta flight.

I've seen them in the snack basket in the galley on D1 flights to/from AMS. And yes, regularly on KL.
And yes, much better if you perch it over your coffee cup to get warm.
Best I've had are very fresh from a vendor at a market who is making them while selling them.

The Sheraton AMS includes one in the room as a welcome gift (I forget if it gets replenished every day of a multi-day stay)

A friend told me that the KLM lounge at AMS had someone making them to order for guests. Sadly, that is not the case. What a wonderful addition to any KLM lounge that would be.

Last week on AMS-MSP DL0161. Always BYOS :)

Every supermarket over here has them.
@AMS there are plenty of 'See, Buy, Fly' shops who sell them. Landside there is also an AH, best value for money there and they also carry several different flavors.

The Stroopwafel is not the only thing missing from the DL snack baskets these days...
Seems that they have lost all imagination regarding their offerings.

If you would like them, you can order several varieties of them here: https://www.stroopies.com/
