if you are traveling alone and you're someone who gets up quite a bit on that length flight, do the 764. I prefer the 757 D1 seats and I can go 5 hours without peeing so that would be my personal choice

Is this a serious thread?
Wide-body with direct isle access vs 757? There is no question. Take row 1 A/D on 764. It's not as bad as other thread about 763/764 suggests. The seat a bit hard, a bit narrow and the entertainment screen is a bit old and small, but its still day and night difference with narrow body 2+2. 757 seats are not as specious anyway and I do not remember any privacy partition between seats (or it's small). Enjoy your flight.

I much prefer direct aisle access and no seat-mate (especially on redeyes), even having to trade that off for the other 767 seat shortcomings. But on a daytime transcon, especially if the shorter eastbound, I probably wouldn't care too much either way and would choose by schedule.

I personally just prefer a wide-body a/c plus more privacy when traveling alone. I especially like having a seat that is both an aisle and a window.
I might lean towards the 757 if traveling with a companion.

The 75S seat is more comfortable and has a better screen, and the cabin has fewer people (16 vs 40). The 764 seat has more workspace, no awkward getting up from the window seats, and more OHB space.
I'd probably pick first on schedule (which is mostly 75S if JFK-SFO), and then the 75S if I could get an aisle seat. (Though having flown the 75 a gazillion times, it's not that hard to get up from the window.)

This. I am not a hater of the 767 seats, but the 75S is light-years ahead in terms of comfort and entertainment. Service is better too because the cabin is smaller and more intimate. If you're traveling with a companion, it's a no-brainer.

I find the 757 has MUCH more space than the 767 in D1. I am a small guy at only 5’7” and I can’t fit my shoulders without turning on my side in lieflat mode on the 767. The lack of direct aisle access stinks on the 757, but I would rather climb over some one once a flight that not be able to move my shoulders for 6 hours.

Since it's a daytime flight, the 767 is probably what you want. Direct aisle access and decent working space.
If what you care about is sleep, the 757 is what you want. It's a far superior product to the 767 seat in terms of being able to actually lay down and fit in the seat. I will trade ability to sleep over direct aisle access any day of the week.

I've only flown 75S once, but i recall seat comfort level being about the same as 767 - narrow footwells, a bit narrow at the shoulders when fully flat. Equipment seemed a bit newer, however.
In other words, I don't think 75S is *enough* better to offset the advantage of direct aisle access.
