WestJet to Delta Connection at LAS

A conference's travel agent has booked me on the following itinerary from YVR to SNA:

YVR->LAS DL7128 (operated by WestJet) lands 7:58PM Terminal 3
LAS -> SNA DL3568 departs 8:55PM Terminal 1

is this <1 hour connection time legal/doable? I've never flown through LAS before but it appears that T1 and T3 have no physical connection, would I have to reclear security?

I'm hoping/assuming I would pre-clear US customs at YVR.

Thanks for any insight

As long as you are not forced out of the secured area at LAS there is a train behind security connecting Terminal 1 and 3.

I made a super quick connection from WN in terminal 3 to DL in terminal 1 once. I thought it would be much worse then it was.

Mine was a domestic connection, which is the only reason I am not sure on how they will treat you as a passenger from Canada (will you pre clear and be a de facto domestic flight or not etc)

Otherwise terminal 3 to terminal 1 outside of security is a pain in the butt and definitely not walkable.

Youll be fine as you'll preclear at YVR. You won't need to leave secure area or pickup bags.

After you deplane, head for the escalators down to the tram that will take you to D gates (where Delta parks). These escalators are located between gates E7 and E8 at T3. As long as you're on time an hour should be plenty.
