Flightstats.com shows DTW-NRT taking off from A50 today. It will always be A. It will always be an even numbered gate.

DL out of DTW to NRT would be the "A" gates. Your inbound flight from BNA could arrive at the A, B or, C gates.
If it is DL mainline (typically flight numbers under 2000) it will probably arrive at the A gates. In that case, maximum walking from one side of the terminal to the other side is about 10-15 mins.
If it is DL Connection, it could arrive in either A, B or C gates. Worst case scenario would be about a 25 minute walk.

DTW has two terminals: DL flies out of the McNamara terminal, which has the A, B, and C gates. As previous posters mentioned, if your flight from BNA is mainline it will probably arrive at the A gates. Within the McNamara terminal, only ~10 of ~75 gates are built to handle aircraft which arrive from international destinations, which the flight going to NRT will almost certainly be parked at. All of these gates are on the even side and near the center of the terminal, between A24 and A54 if I remember correctly, so expect your flight to be departing from one of these gates. Luckily, these are all relatively close to the tunnel that connects to the B and C gates, so even if your flight from BNA lands there it shouldn't be too long of a walk.

BNA-DTW flights are all mainline. OP will not have to worry about arriving at B/C concourses. Worst case will be about an 8 or 9 minute walk with the moving walks. Not sure if the trams are back up yet, but shouldn't really be that necessary as NRT flight will depart from near the center of the concourse (looks like trams are supposed to restart May 1 from airport website).

Both McNamara Terminal trams out of service for upgrades
Both McNamara Terminal trams out of service for upgrades
April 11, 2019 to April 30, 2019
Both trams in the McNamara Terminal are out of service, during the final phase of upgrades. Travelers should allow time to walk to their gates. Moving walkways will be operating. As always, wheelchair assistance will be available through your airline or by calling Prospect Airport Services upon arrival at the Departures Level curb or in the Ground Transportation Center. The trams are expected to resume operating on May 1.

Even without the red tram, DTW A isn't bad as it has lots of wide moving walkways.
However if your flight into DTW isn't DL or DeltaConnection, like southwest, you should worry as nonSkyTeam carriers use a totally different terminal.
BTW DL uses T1 at NRT.
